The ex-forumite previously known as SF1378 apparently used to email sellers after the auction had finished saying he needed more money before he'd send the item

you entered a legally bound contract when you won.
they misquoted, their loss. i think ebay will back you.
my missus misquoted postage when she started selling on the bay and she took the loss on the chin.
i would refuse to pay the additional postage.

sadly he made a complete mockery collecting and what it means to us. i would never buy anything from him regardless of wether it was a good deal or not.
