Blood for the Baron!

I'm not a fan of serialised television to be honest (ALIAS wasn't too bad though). With each episode being like the chapter of a book, it's hard to just pick one out to watch for 'fun' now and then. That's why I love STAGATE SG-1 and (the now sadly cancelled) STARGATE ATLANTIS. Both shows have arcs and ongoing plot & character development, but each episode has a story in itself and can be watched in isolation.

I've never watched LOST, ever, but being aware of the plot I formed my own theory as to what was going on: The 'Island' is in fact a futuristic prison and the plane passengers are convicts who have had their memories wiped, been given implanted new ones and are then dumped on this place to suffer all the trials and tribulations they deserve.
Guess that notion's been blown out the water now, eh?

I much prefer story arc progressions such as Babylon5, 24, Buffy, Prison Break and Lost, but they have to be watched in one go. Watching them as weekly episodes is killer, but watched consecutively it's like a 20-hour movie you can really get your teeth into it. I doubt I'll ever revisit SG1 or Atlantis as there was just so much filler.

I actually like Prison break. Its not bad. The 2 main characters aren't good actors, but the lesser guys take up the slack. I like Alex and T-bag the most. Just when you think they are f*cked.... they turn it around.

I watch these days, Battlestar, Smallville, Clone Wars, Top gear and that's about it really.

I actually wait until the ENTIRE season is over before I watch a single ep and then I sit down over a long weekend and watch the entire thing

cant stand watching one hour once a week LOL, I do that with all the tv shows I watch ( only 3)

I started off not liking Prision Break, as I thought Schofield was just a smug git, but then grew to love it and the characters, T-Bag and Alex are awesome (I'd stick the dude who plays Alex in the Action Force movie somewhere) however all this loved was horrendously destroyed with Season 4 ..... WHAT THE HELL HAVE THEY DONE??? Each episode is like watching a cross between a Crime Fighting Super Team and Oceans 11.

Seasons 1 -3 awesome.
Season 4, best left alone.

Season 4 is excellent! I'm totally hooked, I think they've tied things together really well. William Fichtner is a great actor, I first saw him as Flight Lieutenant Willie Sharp in Armageddon so I'd be inclined to cast him as Moondancer or someone T-Bag is also excellent, downright disturbing TBH - did you ever see him in Carnivale, where he played a really kind, wholesome gent?

Season 4 was the best IMHO, no way to predict what's going to happen. Unlike other Yank shows there isn't so much posturing in it, I like that. Fichtner was in The Dark Knight too. Red Shirt unfortunately A good actor is the one you don't recognise, lots of Poms can do it, but not so many Yanks. Yeah, T-bag is disturbing, but you can't help getting attached to the character. Good writing helps too, I guess. Another one that springs to mind is the guy that played Wormtongue in LOTR. PJ never realised he was American till filming finished and they got together at the after party.

Oh yeah! Brad Dourif is excellent, and he too is different every time I see him. I think the first thing I saw him in Voyager as the crewman convicted of murder. He was also in Deadwood as

sh*t, I didn't even recognise him in Voyager. Now you mention it I remember that. That was a 2 parter iirc and had repercussions on Tuvok later. Great episodes.

Deadwood is in my to-do list...... the old man always waffles on about how good it is.

That would work. He was really good as the Sheriff in Invasion, is he an alien, isn't he?

He also had a small, but very funny part in Go, playing a detective that sold bootleg houselhold products on the side

I've been told the guy in real life is hilarious. he attended a Swedish convention and my friends said he joined them for the whole night drinking in the hotel and was really a top guy.
