As the legs were never released in any form I'd say this is a post-Shadow era figure. Damn, he could be :qforce: or :space: or :enemy: though...

Dave, is there any chance of a pic without the watermark, please? Or is this all hush-hush for your book? Do you actually own this figure or just the picture? If you do, please could you tell us what the lettering on hsi chest is?

No doubt you have opened up Pandora's Box regarding questions...

Thanks ever so much! NEW TOYS!!

Not unless there's a variant :uspara: to the one in the archives. This guy has the :wolf: leg pouches, but looks like :muton: knees!

ok I think this is basically a space force commander with different legs ?

the arms and body are identical and the legs seem to be 100% mountain and arctic !

job sorted time for a custom ?

Nailed him! Good eyes, that man.

OK, so I now think he was a pre-Shadow Wave 1 design! That makes more sense.

wow, glad it's something new :)

I thought the legs were US para, but not having one to hand when looking, I wasn't able to say one way or another.

Sadly the figure will never be for sale, to anyone, as really odd as this sounds, but it belongs to The Queen as part of her heritage estate of toys. When Palitoy had the plug pulled by General Mills, they effectivley donted what was left to the Crown.

I've been very lucky to be given access to their archives as part of the research for the Star Wars book, although I can look, I cannot take anything outside their grounds, and anything sealed, even by a staple it is forbidden to open - even if they have no idea what the item is.

Although this (and Star Wars stuff) is gobsmacking to see, it kind of pales into insignifficance when you are surrounded by pricless rocking horses, dolls houses etc etc

There were several other prototypes there, that was the coolest, but this was what got me thinking about doing a second book, almost in tandum with the Star Wars one, but about Palitoy's involvement with Action Force up to 85.

I have very little in the way of an Action Force collection, so hoping to make new friends/ contacts who might be able to assist :)
