ive bought a few figures from one near me in redcar
picked up a sas commando,back pack and a playworn blades i think
only bought them for trading
i bought a roboskull from a seller who had picked them up at a boot sale
she got loads of stuf from this seller,think i would have hyper ventilated!! lol

no luck with charity shops ever,has a look today

I've had some moderate success with car boot sales. Few bits here and there, but that's going back a few years now. Most carbooters tend to be Ebay savvy these days. I have picked up some bits, like I say, but it's pretty hit and miss. Although that can be part of the fun!

I got a Thundercats Snarf for 10p the other week. Although not sure that was really a bargain, as I dont even collect them! Although I could just blow it up on bonfire night as he always annoyed the heck out of me...

I've also, before I gave up collecting them as they were too expensive, picked up some vintage Star Wars figures in the past for bargain prices.

I picked up a divorced Barbie in a boot sale.
Came with half of Ken`s stuff

There used to be a shop in Luton indoor market that advertised in Model and Collectors mart, anyone know if it is still there? Got my first "adult" joes (jokes please?) there about 9 years ago when I lived in London... Very overpriced back then, prices would still be high now...

I used to have a permanent saturday/sunday market stall trading in star wars toys and memorabillia.

this is going back 5 or 6 years, I used to throw all the action force stuff into a 50p each tub !!!!

obviously I wasnt into action force back then !!!!!

but perhaps seeing those toys again rekindled my interest !

best find I had at a car boot was a misb action force zartan for 10 quid about 10 years ago... I can remember the woman telling me they were going for a lot more on ebay and wondering what the hell ebay was...

charity stalls at the car boot used to be goldmines !!

I once bought a bag of about 50 star wars vintage figures for a fiver !

I also bought a millenium falcon full with about 20 figures for 3 quid !!!

I used to buy a lot of star wars collections, and I think the most commonly mistaken figures to be included were the orange space patroller and the kraken !

sold loads of them for 50p each back in the day !

Manchester used to have about 3 retro toy shops, but after the Corn Exchange blew up, and the city was remodelled all the cool independent shops dissapeared, and its all Starbucks, and Burtons now. In fact if you've been to one UK city centre you've been to them all..

We went off to a giant car-boot sale yesterday, not a stiff of Action Force - we did find some "knock-off" style cheap versions made by "Magic Toy Co." but they were made from inferior plastic and the frogman only had one leg, which I can see being rather a drawback...

Place was full of modern Action Men. And people who had rented a pitch for £7.50 and had nothing but three lampshades on their table retailing for 50p each.
