Back on track just for a little while.
Any tips on removing figure screws that have rounded?
Have some great donor limbs and torsos but the feckin screws won`t come out.
I`ve tried WD40 and different size screwdrivers but to no avail !!

Use a small drill chuck with a 2.5mm drill and carefully hand-drill through the screwhead.

This may take a while but the screws are quite soft metal so its easy to get carried away with a powerdrill.

once through the screwhead the 2 halves should come apart, the remainder of the screw should be sticking up enough to turn out with small pliers.

you may need to drill out the top of the screw then unscrew the torso halves.
dont know if that makes any sense.

Drilling technique works a treat, but extreme care is needed.

Another tip for the paper style AF stickers. I acquired a Red Cobra Hyena of SteveD, the stickers were coming away. Clean any crap and fluff off the sticker (baby wipes are very good). Get a cotton bud and apply small amounts of PVA (craft in Pommy land?) glue to the back of the stickers. Push it down gently and clean up the residue. Can't tell it had come away at all.

Here's a tip for head and limb shaft repair. Cut the broken joint flat with a craft knife. Drill a small tapping hole into the centre of the broken shaft area then drill a slightly larger hole to accommodate a screw that roughly matches the head of the original broken shaft. Finally, apply a small screw (in my case from PC spares) and tighten to suit.

i've prolly got tweezers or a nail-file i can use if they'd do?

After such craft knifing and cutting of an already broken shaft the last thing on my mind would be any sort of screwing!

A good sharp kitchen knife can help in absence of a scalpel, or a good old fashioned razor blade? Anything to ease them off and gently apply pressure really. Unless you dont need to resuse them, then just scratch the buggers off with anything and finish off by removing the sticky residue (I'm off again!) with a baby wipe or similar?

I would strongly suggest buying one, or a set, in a craftsshop. I always use a scalpel to remove the stickers. With a scalpel you can work really precise. Kitchen knifes and razor blades are good for rougher work. The last thing you want to do is mess up the stickers.

I prefer the round edge blades most. The pointy ones stick into the plastic too easily.
