Tip of the Day

When removing stickers, transfer them to a backing sheet from a sticky label - store them under something heavy like a Yellow Pages, and they should be reusable.

I just learned this the hard way

Never use Plastikote Clear Acrylic on top of Humbrol Enamels. It reacts exactly like paint stripper.

Oh, it wasn't your fault, mate!

I think I've managed to scape off most of the bubbled paint, about 50% of it didn't get touched, but all of the fiddly grooves are a nightmare, I might try spraying on a spot more and getting into it with a toothbrush. I haven't dared look at it since.

This happened about an hour after I knocked my formerly-pristine General off of a five-foot shelf directly onto my Mobile Command Centre... I could have cried.

Handy hint:
I bought a Hyena tank that some misguided child had applied Cobra stickers to, on top of the Red Shadow ones. I carefully removed the paper of the sticker, but all the adheisve and some paper remained (you know those awful white scuffs on old toys).
I found that a babywipe (one of the wet ones) works wonders in removing all the mess, but left the sticker underneath totally unharmed.

i always use a scalpal i find that once the initial start of the lifting happens they come off quite easily but you need to go completely on one side so they come off cleanly or they tear

Always run some turps through the Airbrush after spraying.
Just spent 2+ hours cleaning out my spray nozzle with a thin piece of wire, you won`t believe how much crap was in there, no wonder it stopped working!!
