Great job! Love it.
I've asked before but what head is that?
Been trying to track one down.

Re: Captain Zargon
I did have an issue of Rom but haven't seen it in years last I heard Marvel could no longer use the name or likeness of him I didn't know about the Palitoy/ Action Man link that is interesting to find out.Thundershot wrote:Rom was marketed (by Palitoy) as a member of Action-man's Space Ranger team here in the U.K.DAMartin wrote:But Rom became too related to the Marvel universe to still fit in the Hasbroverse...
DH, I like how you highlighted the "pirate" concept on Captain Zargon.
Their main enemy was the Space Pirate 'Captain Zargon' &, for traitorous Action-men, you could also buy a Zargonite Soldier outfit .
I'd certainly not heard of or seen the Marvel comic as a kid in the 70's.
Great custom DH
Spock, where the hell's the power you promised?

I only discovered the Rom's Action Man connection in recent years. Like Andy I always knew him just from the Marvel Comics.

Re: Captain Zargon
Maybe the Intruder's status as either individual character or army builder depends on localization, just like Grunt is a specific Joe in G.I. Joe but the figure represents the Greenshirts in Action Force.
The funny thing about Marvel no longer being capable to use Rom is that they canot retell that Rogue began her path to good when she absorbed some of Rom's qualities. I guess that's why they decided to keep G.I. Joe separate from the Marvel Universe, and Transformers gradually after it became a regular series.

Yep & they're 'tooled up' with laser pistols tooDark Horse wrote:Waitaminute, there are multiple Intruders?

G.I.Joe got two different Intruder figures, only the leader made it across the pond.
Wonder if Rom's Good/Evil Analyser would work in a Star Wars movie?
I'd imagine it'd all boil down to the users point of view.

One other connection; the prototype Space Force figures were based on the Space Rangers.
