It was certainly this site that shifted my focus from Hasbro to Palitoy, especially after seeing SteveD's collection.

My first post was 2004, really just a lurker then. Crikey, has it been that long? I came back in 2008 and then got suckered after seeing SteveD's collection. All the Paul's have been inspirational, as well as Steve and the Andy's of course. I planned to just get a few figures now I have about 7 to go. I never intended to get into series 1 but I had a couple arrive and thought they were really cool. That triggered (along with Paulitoy) my VAM passion and now I'm broke but happy. ;-)

For the future? Fix my VAM and finish my AF, then Star Wars..... Buck Rogers...... DAWSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess a really big inspiration for me has always been them little "other items in the range" toy catalogues & photo's you got on the backing cards of action figures...I'd sit for hours drooling over the pictures

My mum & Grand mother for buying such great toys as birthday & Christmas presents...gran was the person who started me off by buying me my 1st ever Action man & started my passion for all things 'toy' in general.

Joining this forum has been one of the best things that's ever happened for me for years, I've met so many great folks & have been inspired by everyone here in some way by seeing/sharing photo's & stories about collecting & life in general, I don't feel so much of a outsider or isolated now knowing I'm not the only person over the age of 30 who still buys & enjoys playing with toys.
More news, as its made, from new Action Force!

Amen, Eddies.

I used to (and still do) oogle catalogues and Eddies collection. ;-) Now I think of it, it would have started with the original SW 12 Backs. Damn you Lucas. My great Nana got me Obi Wan back in 77. First AM was around 1976-77 and AF/AM/GI Joe was 1983.

Getting the Wolvie and Battle Tank have been highlights (thanks to the guys here) because I'd only ever seen them in BAF.

Praise be to Palitoy, Toltoys and Hasbro
