McAffee is good.....at slowing your pc down my Mum insists on using it but it slows down the start up process of her desktop.

I've found that a lot actually Lasery. I've had it for a year or so after I got it free with my Broadband subs, but the startup process is painfully slow. I have to turn it on, then go and make a cuppa, then come back. Once it expires I doubt I will be renewing.

Re: Pc Help!
my PC died a week ago. my missus killed it although she denies all knowledge
havin to use works PC which i'm not supposed to use for personal use but.....................
a mate fixed the PC, should have it back tomorrow but he had to wipe the whole system and i think i've lost everything-music, software, comic art from my try-out days, everything
of course i didnt back anything up, lesson learnt.
all it cost was a bottle of vodka, bloke i spoke to in PC shop told me it would be £70 before he even looked at it and couldnt guarentee anything so reckon a litre of smirnoff is a pretty good deal

Re: Pc Help!
Sorry to hear that. It's the reason I have multiple hard-drives. My C drive contains Windows and Programs and nothing else, I even have a separate drive for my game installations. That way when I need to reformat Windows (which I do routinely to clear the system) I know my data is secure.
