Ebay and Chrome

Post by ODB »

Anyone else using Chrome? I have switched over to it after Firefox kept getting memorry leaks and when surfing Ebay 90% of the hosted pics do not show up unless you click on them. Does anyone else get this? Is there something that I have missed?

I've been using Chrome for a few weeks now on my new PC and touch wood no problems yet; now you mention it, I was having a similar problem to you with Firefox and pictures on ebay although in fairness the PC it was running on was very much on it's last legs. I do find Chrome to be very quick as well.

Blasphemy. I love Firefox.

I've not actually tested the site on Chrome, so please give me a heads-up if any of the layouts go wonky!

Chrome is way faster than Firefox and seems to display everything correctly. I've only noticed that the counter on the new message doesn't always line up properly.

The last couple of Firefoxes I've used have ended up with massive memory leaks where in under an hour Firefox was using close to 2gb of memory with a single page open. The fox got fat and bloated so I moved on.

I'm finding the site is running much better in Chrome for me; for example, on the links page everything is the same size etc. while with my geriatric old PC running Firefox the links were all randomly sized - some tiny, some huge. I don't have to scroll left to right all the time, either!

I've rewritten that page layout, that's not a browser issue.

As for scrolling l-r, what screen resolution do you use? The site is all geared towards 1024x768 minimum.
