Backing-Card of Doom!

Post by Thundershot »

Hi all,
Picked this up today, for the extortionately high price of £1...

The packaging's very beaten up, with a big rip & yellowing to the bubble (yet strangely it remains un-punched :-? )...but with the help of my Ninja assistant, together we shall liberate this miscreant from his incarceration :-D

The villainous ne'er do well is free @ last, to wage war on the forces of truth & justice!

& finally, for all posterity, a photo of the handshake of thanks to the man who freed him.

I'm not sure about that "handshake" at the end T-shot. Looks a bit like Doom and Stormie are in a 'civil partnership' or something..!

Is this a new Dark Reign beginning with Doom and Storm Shadow in charge? ;-) The Secret Wars figures were a lot simple looking compared to what is out now but were good for their time.
Spock, where the hell's the power you promised?

Hi & welcome to the site,
I got this from Leicester Vintage & Collectible Toys, 1st time I've been on a day trip to Leicester for years...I'm not shure if they're on-line, but I picked this up from there shop situated in the indoor market , the last couple of times I been to the N.E.C Memorabilia show they've had a stall.

They had a couple more of these in the £1 section, as you can see the packaging's far from perfect but the toy's mint :-D

Hope this helps

It's indeed a wonderful little shop, a bit on the scuzzy side compared to Mr Tree's posh clean place... but I like that sort of dis-organized, slightly grimy feel to shop of this sort, makes you feel like you've unearthed a real treasure as you blow the layers of dust away from long forgotten item of stock :-D

I'm growing to appreciate the Secret Wars figures now I'm older...I like how the (probably totally unauthentic) weapons clip onto Doom's back & thigh, & the shield with pris-matic pictures are fantastic.

Ha! No toy packaging is enough to contain Doom!
