A mutant from the X-men comic books. Wolverine has an adamantium-laced skeleton, bone claws (coated in adamantium), superhuman senses (particularly smell) and an accelerated healing factor which makes him functionally immortal since he can recover from ANY injury up to and including incineration.

He's ridiculously popular and appears in an equally ridiculous number of Marvel's comics. the photo is of Australian actor Hugh Jackman playing him in the movie adaptation. as well as dominating the storylines of the X-Men trilogy of films, he also had his own origin-story spin-off.
