Stan Lee for Oscar!
Re: Stan Lee for Oscar!
Stan Lee can drop dead. Not one penny of his profits went to his co-creator Jack Kirby.

Very strong words from Frank Miller I wonder if this had anything to do with him not working with Marvel again.
Spock, where the hell's the power you promised?

Miller can write his own ticket and work for whoever he wants, Ironic.
if he wanted to work for Marvel they would jump at the chance.
a little off topic but i've been collecting comics for over 20 years and have an excellent collection. i lived and breathed comics, tried to break into the industry a couple of times and have met some pretty big creators.
when i was on the dole i would go without food for a couple of days to be able to afford them but now i dont get it. was in forbidden planet and talkin to the guys about prices and for an average marvel comic was 3-20. for a bloody comic. i make a pretty decent wage but no way can i afford them at the moment. it got to the stage i was pickin the odd book up here and there but have given up on them now as its too hard to choose what to buy and what to pass over.
i work 3 jobs at the moment and still cant afford my weekly fix so how do they expect to bring in new readers when i, a diehard comic book junkie has given up the habit.
sorry i'll get off my soap box

I agree, I picked up the Batman / Doc Savage one shot the other day and nearly had a heart attack when the woman at the till said it was £3.60. I'll stick to buying graphic novels and collections rather than single issues.
