Star Brigade

Post by stkhlmdk »

Hi, I received my final member (Ozone) of the Star Brigade today but I am still not really "sold" on that series. Before I decide whether to keep or sell them I would like to hear your opinion on these "strange" figures from early 90´s.

the later ones were better than the earlier 'Armour-tech' ones, which are shite.

As you've done all the hard work, keep them. If you starting out and thinking of collecting them I'd say don't bother, but as it's done, just be proud of yourself.

No Armourbot?

I used to have some of these when they were still available new in the mid-90s (if you looked hard enough). The Viper was pretty cool, and I still have payload. I also really like the re-coloured Pogo you have there!

Well yeah, I guess I could save them for when/if I ever get a Defiant and make one large space battle-scenario with Stella Stiletto/Star-Viper, Countdown v1, Astro-Viper and Laser-Viper? Thats the "curse" of being a collector, you love the chase of getting there but sometimes you become a bit "blind" as to what you get a hold off :-D

I like the Armour tech figures. I wished the Astro Viper had the version 1 backpack though. The BAATS are good I have 3 of them.
Spock, where the hell's the power you promised?

I actually had him pared with a v1 backpack but when I found a nice v1 figure I had to suit him up properly instead.

There was an atempt by a certain wood based forum member to try to get me to buy these, I'm really not keen, but fair play Rene your a braver man than I,

Some of these later figures are growing on me, it's just a shame about the neon coloured weapons, the gold ones gotta be my fave as a gold space suit is believable..followed by that white suited :roadblock:. The rest just seem too toy like for my tastes I'm afraid.

Have you got them two alien guy type figures from this range too Rene? They don't really look like they should be Joe's @ all to me, but they are interesting looking toys in their own right.
More news, as its made, from new Action Force!
