I have no problem with you being realistic, Sundance. Being sarcastic and dismissive pisses me off though. You could just as easily have said "Wouldn't that be cool? Fingers crossed" but instead you chose to put a dampener on it.

yes, it would be cool, no doubt. but i'm just a negative norm to think it will be after Jamar's hyper enthusiam proving to be a false hope last year.

assume the worst and when you get it you're not disappointed. assume the worst and get something better and you're happy. that's the way i roll.

see there was a motive last year behind the madness.

one if it was the Red Shadows then we would have won the battle in getting the Red Shadows back,

but if we didnt then I had wanted to make such a big STIR UP that the Club had to take notice

and guess what, there was a huge uproar across the net on all the other joe boards when it was revealed to NOT be the Red shadows.

ya I hyped it up last year on all the boards but again the masses were angry it didnt happen. So hopefully it will happen this year and last years hard work and this years will have amounted to us getting the RED SHADOWS back

now with that said, getting blades and the Argen 7 was huge succes for us, not only that but we did get a BARON IRONBLOOD mention in the comic along with the Red Shadows nod.

its a start and thats what I wanted,

again this year the masses on all the joe boards think its the Red Shadows. So lets hope it is.

Just a random thought - and posting it in a bit of a rush whilst I think on, but I wonder if it's worth approaching the collectors club folks (I think I still have some email addresses!) to ask who they asked for permission to make blades?? I mean, we've long speculated as to who owns the rights to af, but someone at hasbro must have looked into it enough to say "yep, you can do that!!"

That's a great idea Steve. I know I have been negative about Red Shadows getting done this year but I do want it to happen very much.

i really do want it to be Shads. I'm just not going to start getting hyper about it.

and, i (second? third?) the notion of Steve's of poking the CC and saying 'Oi, who'd you speak to about getting Blades done, cuz we wanna do a figure for our con'

Yep that's on the list, Steve. Nothing concrete to report yet.

I really hope it's the shads too. But like Jim said we got a new hawk and blades last year so hopefully we'll get something else this year. If it's the shads great if it's something else then great too! The shads will come back at some point, that I'm sure of.

Jamar, please keep your energy and enthusiasm up and thank you for all the hard work you (and others) have done on red dawn.

Although you won't see my contribution to Red Dawn just yet Paul thanks it's a good feeling working on something that will be bought worldwide.
