Sgt. Slaughter/Slammer variations

Post by stkhlmdk »

Hi, just thought you might enjoy the almost complete lineup of Sgt Slaughter/Slammer editions (got my Marauder today), just missing the 2006 convention version which isnt that high on my list anyway :-)

That'd be Sgt Slammer, mate ;-) I have the Marauder version and have started collecting them, and the renegades, because of it. Sigh. My son thinks he's pretty cool too

The Marauder edtion just got his team together today as I received my Footloose, Spirit and Barbecue from our US member Tom-K as a trade for a EU Spirit :-)

Nice. I like them Marauders, not sure why. I got a couple of job lots with Sgt Slammer, Mutt and Spirit. Then got Lowlight from Mr Dawson. Now I'm on the prowl for the last 2, I Figure I should get the Renegades too. ;-)

Yes, they look nice when compared with the originals. I just modified my own gallery on the marauders so guests can click between those (only originals, marauders and EU versions of Barbecue,Footloose,Low-Light,Mutt & Spirit at the moment) As for the renegades let me know if you would be interested in my spare-set (see spares-list) although they need a few parts ;-)

He was based on the wrestler sgt slaughter (and is a really good likeness actually) so I'm guessing they had some licensing issues that led to him being renamed slammer in some countries?

yeah, but it totally pissed on Hawk's sentence to Falcon in GIJTM.

We're sending you to...the Slaughter-house!!!

is a far more intimidating line than

We're sending you to... the Slammer-house!!!

and of course, it's ridiculous when the credits on both Arise Serpentor Arise and GIJTM have 'Sergeant Slaughter as Sergeant Slammmer' on them...
