Although the Yanks have some impressive technology I do like it when they are shown up.

I especially like the one where at high altitude an F15 was outmaneuvered by a Vulcan Bomber. That one was not popular with the American fighter pilots.

They were also miffed when their star interceptor the Starfighter was shown a clean pair of heels by the Lightning and the fact that in a chase situation none of their planes could intercept Concorde but once again the Lightning did.

The Lightening is by far my favourite jet British interceptor. It was sad to see them go, why not make a new Hot Rod and call it Lightening II?

the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter that's replacing the Harrier is called the Lightning II
