When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Ha ha! Classic bftb rambling buffoonery!! Excellent thread!!

Back to the snow - after a shocking day travelling to the office yesterday only to manage about two hours of work I decided to "work from home" today. So far I've tidied the study, done all my laundry and drunk some really nice coffee. Never mind - it'll be dinnertime soon and then I can slack off a bit! I suspect I'll be in the local by 4 if anyone fancies joining me? They've still got some "rudolfs reward" guest ale on and I see it as my mission to finish the barrell for them so they can get a "new year" ale on. Got to give a little back to the local community haven't you? Community service really. Very altruistic of me, I know.

It snowed a fair bit here last night/this morning. Roads were cocking awful at 6am. Hardly any of our bookings have shown up and our main wholesaler refuses to deliver anything.

Still, been up to Boots and bought some nice makeup, had a bacon sarnie and read the paper, so not all bad :)

I'm back in work our roads have been gritted so now more people can come into work like the majority of my team (some of which could have walked in yesterday but that's teenage girls for you). It's good to see you are doing recycling of beer Steve in one end and out the other. ;-)

A parts factor who is based eight miles up the clear, flat, free-flowing A38 is refusing to deliver to us because it's too dangerous for their drivers.

TBH, it's not the snow that's made them dangerous; they were always that way.

Fannies.

I'm never very productive anyway. As Ed will confirm, my title of Company Secretary essentially means I get paid ok to do a very undefinable job, most of which concerns, bizarrely, having coffee made for me and crouching down beside vehicles.

I've just made a wooly/latex gloves combo so I can throw snowballs (and stones) at my colleagues without getting cold hands.

Got to go - someone's just made me another coffee. Well, it'd be rude not to drink it, wouldn't it? ;)

Ah! Nothing beats a bit of 'shirking from home'.
