Humby, thanks, they're Tactical Battle Platform chairs, found on ebay. The hard part was making them swivel - they're sitting in brass plumbing parts, just loose enough for swivel, just heavy and tight enough to stop wobble.

got to say this is very cool, although space force is my least favorite part of Action force it does make my wonder why something like this wasnt done back in the day, this seems so obvious of a toy. looks great, very nice makes me want one and to collect space force too!

Thanks jamar. Having looked at the displays in the catalogue adverts I'm wondering if there were ever plans to release a cardboard version of the station, similar to the original Series 1 HQ. I nearly did this in cardboard, but figured it would last less than a week in our house.

There's a pic of a space station in the back of Alan Hall's Action Man Ultimate collectors guide vol 3 but it's obviously for display purposes only. It looks kinda like the old cardboard HQ but that was ripped off the Star Wars deathstar so if Palitoy had released a space station it would probably just be a death star re-release. Monkfish's is way better anyway. That equipment locker is awesome. As someone else said, it's the little details that make it.

Yeah that's the one. Obviously it was only built for that shot display though.

Yes, that's the one I was looking at too in the catalogue when I started this project. Between that and the station shown in the very first BAF story, it looked to me like a cardboard space station might have been on the cards.

Are there any pics of the various prototypes on the site anywheres? I've seen the SWS ones and a Dolphin with arms but are they all collected together anywhere with nice big pics? I'd like to reproduce them but as with the above pic some of the figures are quite hard to make out.
