Hey All,
I've bought a fair few things from him and some of the deals were outside of ebay. He's come through every single time, although, admittedly the packaging could have been better in some cases. Like the Baron says I would give him some time.
Thanks
Jon
Anybody dealt with Business.1 on Ebay?
I bought my Roboskull from him.
Well... some of it.
He stated it was complete in the auction, but it was actually missing ALL the loose red parts, and Red Wolf. I contacted him about it, and he refunded me about half of what I paid with no problems. Like a lot of eBay sellers he's good, but just don't take any crap if things go wrong.

Regardless the situation, never give a seller more time! Always open a dispute BEFORE the month is over! Otherwise you can never claim back you money via Paypal.
Especially with sellers I do not know on a more personal basis I am very strict. I just want my goods in a reasonable time. If a seller can not deliver due to car crash or worse, I want my money back.
Born babies, computer crashes, somebody died, etc. All very big tragedies, I am sure, but I don't take that sh*t anymore unless the seller is communicating pro-active. If the stories come after I have asked about my items then I tend to take every story as an excuse.
As a manager I am confronted with 'stories' on a daily basis. I have found out that once you need to ask yourself in 95% explanations are nothing more than lousy excuses.

to be fair to the majority of ebay users, if they have a bad story of why an item hasnt gone out yet, then its not at all surprising they wont have been able to email you. if i had a bereavement, birth, illness, car crash to deal with then the first thing i wouldnt be worrying about it is emailing people to tell them all about it. i think you HAVE to give people the benefit of the doubt for a good length of time, then if they do turn out to be liars / con artists its still possible to get money back via paypal / leave neg feedback. if you do this too hastily you cant take the feedback back.

that sucks jonesy. at least you got you money back.
Is it me, or are the numbers of shady ebay sellers steadily on the rise?
I had two similar transactions to yours, almost a month out from payment and no merch or response. Of course, each of the jerks had time to argue via message once I opened up a paypal dispute. Each of the returned my money, but the sheer frustration of it was more than money or the toys were worth.
