And well? What do you think about this?http://toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=9&itemid=15157 wrote:Moonbase2 conducted a podcast interview with Michael Bell who was the voice of Duke and among others in the original G.I. Joe cartoon series in the 1980's. During the interview, Michael dropped a bomb that he has auditioned for the voice of 'General Hawk' for a brand new 26 episode run of G.I. Joe. No other information was given about the show or any other characters so we will have to wait and see what Hasbro may soon tell us. You can download the podcast MP3 at the link above and the information can be heard at the 25:15 mark.
Michael Bell also goes on to mention what it was like doing the G.I. Joe: The Animation movie, working with other people and how he felt about the G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra movie.

Could be pretty cool I think. Hopefully it'll be kid friendly (yet not dumb) so my Son and I can watch it together.

Or like the MOTU 2002 remake... that was one of the best remakes of '80s series I've seen, even better than the original series (save for some details, like Clawful).

ImhO the Clone Wars is a good benchmark. Its got solid stories to keep the adults happy and not gone for the overly gritty lets cash in on the 80's kids style.
Its proof that TV shows from the 70's and 80's can work I guess. A real family show.

We'll never see it on UK telly anyway for the same reason we didn't get the Action Man series.

Sunbow had some mishaps, but then came DiC... which also had some good episodes, but was still very silly overall (weird, since normally is backwards; ultra-silly series first, less silly later).

Sounds good. It'll most likely be based on the movie but I'm cool with that.
