i'll bet dollars to donuts that the sequel sees the nanomites reactivate and her become evil again and rescue Cobra Commander and Destro in a guns-blazing, all-action opening sequence.

Besides, some sequel hooks were dropped here and there.

There is a sequel greenlighted but who knows who will be in it or what they will do storywise but please no more bloody nanomites. Apparently they used the reinstated DDP story as a source for the nanomites which I find credulous as those mites didn't affect Cobra's allegiance in the way they did in ROC. Without the mites in ROC it looks like Cobra wouldn't have any operatives at all what crap!
Spock, where the hell's the power you promised?

The Viper commandos led by :baroness: attacking the convoy at the beginning were free-willed, Neo-Vipers were "made" later with Nanomites. The DDP Nanomites also had a sort of "control" over the affected ones, but in a different way: it was "obey or the Nanomites will eat you", so the Nanomites are :cobra: 's Oogey Boogey ;-) . Still, I think the Nanomites were okay for the first movie, but putting them in the 2nd one would be overkill (no, not Robert Skelton  ); we want a sequel without Nanomites. We could talk more about that on the sequel thread: viewtopic.php?f=70&t=6272&start=20

i would prefer to see a sequel that goes back to a more traditional joe story, i thought the nanowhatsits made it all to easy for the film be to fantastical, i want to see war.

my kids got me the ROC dvd for xmas and i've watched it with them a couple of times now.
gotta say i enjoyed it a lot more now than i did at the cinema.
still some bits that really annoy me but its not as bad as i originally thought.
