Not so much open fires this end of the Earth atm. I got sunburnt out hunting in gale force winds while it was near sleeting. So not even close ;-)

My kind of weather!! If it ain't raining it ain't training!
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

You'd only hear that from a Scotsman ;-) Billy Connelly reckoned Dunedin was settled by Scots because it was the only place in the world as dreary as Scotland. Thankfully its in an isolated pocket in Otago. Imagine Antarctic gale force winds, high rainfall, fog and snow. And you should see winter there too ;-)

Dad doesn't call these hills ring busters for nothing. Unlike exercises tho, we got food out of our trip.

Sounds like a great place for next years summer holidays! NZ is on my list of places to visit, Oz too.

Just a quick happy snap of the old man whilst out on the tops. Scale is not well represented in photos, here. It was a very successful day hunting, first animal taken at 300 meters .... and not a Hobbit to be seen. The snow fits well ;-)
