Oh no not FLASH!!! :-?
I always have trouble with that format sometimes.
So far everything looks OK.
I like the new forum. The old one was a bit slow loading.

I really love the new looks, styles, thingies & little upgrades here and there! :-D

However, the speed of the forum is dramatically low at the moment. Is this due to the new lay-out?

The layout looks great I was surprised to see it yesterday. I do like the new look Custom archives.

This appears to have become the constructive criticism thread so here's my input.

The updates are brilliant Baron. I always found the toy archives a little difficult to look at with all the different styles of photography and sizes of images. It's much simpler now and 'simple' people like me can enjoy the images more. Thanks for including my small contribution to the Dioramas section. Much appreciated. :-D

Same goes for the comic archive. It inspired me to finally read all that Devil's Due 'Rise of the Red Shadows' stuff that I was never getting round to. Very interesting. Always nice to see a nod to the classic Action Force stuff even though they cocked around with it plenty. Lots of deaths of recognizable characters is good too, not just crew man number four getting it!

I'm finding the forum a little hard to swallow. I'm sure you are still tinkering with layout, Baron as you mentioned earlier. It functions perfectly well on Safari through my Mac, so no problems there.
In terms of layout, my opinion is that there is now an awkward area at the top of the screen that wasn't there before. A big blank are next to the BFTB logo then tons of links and information squashed in. Was there always the time and date and stuff?

For me, part of the joy of BFTB is that not only does it focus on the Action Force 'Palitoy' era without excluding GI Joe, but it had a unique look to it. The latest forum skin / layout looks to me a bit more like other forums I am a member of. Not that they are bad, but BFTB seemed to stand out more. I think part of that is the fact that it doesn't fit the screen like before, but you've covered that one already.

All in all this is exciting and I for one appreciate your efforts with it all. If you ever need help with anything Baron then don't hesitate...to call SteveD or Eddie or someone.

It would have to be very, very bad to get to that stage....

Sadly there are only a handful of skins available for the latest phpBB update. This is the only one that is remotely cool. I'm hoping there will be an update to the old AcidTechRed we had before at some point.

Jaye, is the forum still running slow for you?

Both at home and at work my browser 'hangs' for a few seconds everytime I click on a link. This happens on the forum only. The rest of the site works good.

I'll try resynchronising the forums and purging the cache (which I should have done anyway). I'll post again when done.
