That'd have to be before my time, I got into it about 82. Google yields sod all. All I can work out is there was a strip about a feller called Bluey. Aussie? With a name like that I'd guess so.

I thought you would have got it straight form forein legion & Blue.
Most of my favorite characters are in Charley's War like Ole Bill, Pops, Wilf & Ginger.
