Last time I went to a toy fair I got talking to a dealer about finding stock, he said it's amazing how much old stock is still about & can be found, if you know where to look!

There will be loads somewhere, I found a shed load in a toy shop a few weeks ago, there is no logical reason why they are so hard to get hold of though as the red card stuff is so common. there will be case fulls of them knocking around and the owners probably dont even know what they are. I keep up my search daily for these toys and must boast probably the best collection around. It has taken effort, time, and lots of money to amass what I have.

Which eras do you collect snakeyes? I personally don't go beyond series 3 (af/cobra era) other than for a few bits and pieces I like. Are you a moc collector or loose? Be good to see some pics when you get chance mate!

Hello guys (newby here
)
I can vouch for snake eyes having a very very vast action force hasbro collection,he purchased ripper,buzzer,monkeywrench,flint,zarana,lifeline and the hard to find zandar from myself late last year,all on action force cards and in mint condition.
I also sold a load of action force moc to a collector in the states last year,that set comprised of some rare figures too like - storm shadow,eels,snow serpent,shipwreck,alpine,footloose,barbeque and a few more,he was willing to part with big bucks for them too.
I purchased the said figures from a dealer local to me and he seems to think that plenty of boxes of sealed stuff was available until fairly recently (5 years or so) he claims to have seen the boxed carded figures a lot at toy fairs up and down the country,like people have said someone somewhere has tons of it and is probably just sitting on them....for now.
And yes I do regret selling my carded figures in hindsight but I remain fairly optimistic that i'l be getting my hands on some more in the near future.
Thanks stef

well, there is a logical reason, Palitoy had the plug pulled with production stock never reaching full retail distribution, whereas Hasbro had stock in full distribution until they decided to change the line. They just sold through the stock to its intended target - kids.snakeeyes wrote:there is no logical reason why they are so hard to get hold of though as the red card stuff is so common.
