Space Force Blue
Re: Space Force Blue
I am always banging on about varnish but a good satincote really does finish off a custom. Also means that some of the customs the little man can use.

i used the spray on varnish on a palitoy custom and it melted the parts.

Thanks mate I will although I don't want to use acrylic unless its really necessary. I am also trying to use custom parts that are already the ccolour I need.

Ok here is what I have used in brackets. Now Games Workshop have discontinued Shadow Grey I need to find out what is the new shade or which is the closest to it. The above work fine without the need to use thinners.

Re: Space Force Blue
I am trying to get sorted with some small jars and syringes for mixing so I can get tne Z force figure green spot on. I will use the humbrol as a base but I feel it is a bit too bright. I am also going to try to mix the Space force blue. I have a Revell no 52 but found that slightly too dark. As soon as I get it sorted I will post the recipe. I am still keeping an eye on some of the lesser known paints to see if any have a match without mixing.
With regards to the Shadows vehicle paint I found the Plastikote satin red better as I feel that the vehicles were satin not glossy.

If you are after syringes mate (and there's a dodgey opening to a post if ever there was one!) I found Boots baby medicine syringes are cheap and spot on for mixing my plastics I use to make the Shadow heads. Only about 20p each, so once they get clogged you can just chuck them!
