SAS Bombadier custom ...

Post by Andy1672 »

Im sure someone must have done this ? I have a feeling Paul may have but cant find any pics.

Another flash repaint but this time for SAS, kind of logical as he should have been packaged with the MMS anyway, or at least I think he should ?

Ha! White Laser is just freaking mental mate! Although a bit more "Grey Laser" or "Primer Laser" at the moment! Love it! Good seeing all the Shadow boys together too!

As for Bombadier - HE'S EXCELLENT!!! And no, it'd never crossed my mind!

Cheers Steve, not sure about greyish white laser yet, still unsure how to finish him.

I think the GI Joe MMS was packaged with Flash ?
and the SWS MMS would or should have been too...
I think if Palitoy had included a figure with the SAS MMS then this would have been it.

I find white to be an absolute bloody nightmare to do. Even when you do get a half decent finish if you look at it the wrong way it all rubs off! My Winter Baron has been scrapped twice already, and the third incarnation is teetering on the edge of the bin!

He looks a bit like a later jointed version of something I am working on - a Shadow Medic! (yes, I know - it's meant to be a ludicrous idea!). He's a full scratch cast other than his arms.

Hoping to have him polished off by next week sometime. (translation - it'll be Xmas)

White Laser looks like a sort of Medi- :shadow:

Andy,
You are in part right, as the GI Joe MMS had a figure pack-in, but it was Hawk not Flash. Flash was a single card figure part of the original 13. I think you got Flash mixed up with Grand Slam, as Grand Slam had the same body, but was a pack-in on the HAL and JUMP ;-).

Great looking customs buy the way. I have been thinking of ways to bring in some of these AF characters in my Joe-verse and all these great customs are a great help to that. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, you are right about that :-D.

It seems like Palitoy did more of a vintage Star Wars type thing with there vehicles, in that many didn't include a pack-in figure. I think that is was really gave th selling power to GI Joe's vehicles. I guess some of the more popular AF vehicles had figures though. Anyway, I hope you don't mind me stealing your Bombadier there, as I don't know if I'll name him that, but I really like the colors of him .
