This is top stuff...did you gule the mouth piece on, or drill a hole in the helmet face plate & to put it in place with a peg arrangement?

The Kraken Wakes wrote:The problem with this version of the Undertow figure and any figure from the BJs exclusive pack is the original paint apps are really shoddy and the quality is very poor so it looks very messy and bumpy when im painting black over the original light grey areas. I just wish there was another suitable red base figure from the arah range or I could strip down the original paint....
I might have a solution for you, if you wanted to remove the factory paint from that Undertow. Not sure if you can find them overseas, but in the states there are these Mr Clean Magic Eraser. They are the best thing I found to remove factory paint. You have to use some elbow grease, but they will not harm the plastic as some of the other ways that are out there for removing paint. Only thing you have to worry about is if you apply power to it, ei: from a dremel or power-drill, as when you power them they can smooth away detail. I have never had it happen when only use my hands though. I would have never found it out, but I got lazy and wanted the paint gone with little effort. I figured that cutting them into circles and putting them on the buffing wheel bit would speed everything up, which it did at the cost of loosing some fine detail. I would avoid making my mistake when trying this out unless you don't care for the loss of detail ;-).

This is the perfect way of removing the weathering from Hasbro's Stormtroopers, if you want that shinny new look to them. I have done this with many of the Sandtroopers that had that really bad over the top paint application with the weathering with no side effects what so ever. This just maybe the solution you are looking for.

Glad I could help out. BTW, I really like this custom. I think the Undertow body is a great choise and I really like that addition of the AF hose. Thanks for sharing him.

This really does look like a production figure! Great work.
I'd be tempted to paint the entire gloves black (up to the elbows) but otherwise it's top work!
Incidentally the single breathing tube is inspired!
