But lets face it, if every body had kept thier figures M.O.C, they wouldn't be so rare & valuable years later...which is way I find it hard to take modern toys as investments, if every collector keeps them in perfect condition, why would they be rare & valuable sometime in the future, O.K so some packaging variants or low production runs may help but that doesn't help toy companies make the same profits as selling large numbers to children.

Hasbro and George Lucas are buggers for that with Star Wars. There always seems to be a few figures or vehicles that they advertise but you can't get for love nor money. Even the Star Wars lego is the same.

that bugs me about the lego, firstly the sets cost more than other lines for the same size, and secondly they never seem to be on offer.
