hey there not to be jumping your thread or anything but what about my idea guys ? a 5 Pack maybe made with 25th components to make one figure each from the main AF armies
that would be a box with Example
1x Red shadow trooper (M.A.R.S trooper body custom helmet)
1x Q force Aqua Trooper (repaint of torpedo + classic trooper gear)
1X Space engineer (Flash body.Pitt amour . Deepsix SRO Helmet.Hiss driver legs. IG destro Arms.
1x S.A.S attack trooper ( basic Green joe body .Original gear .and Joe Helmet)
1 X Z force troopper (basic green joe body. head ? Tricky one that )

these were ones i just came up with . dunno what costs would be like but its an idea what do ye thing . of course all would be in the colours chosen of each force .

exactly, the reason the red shadow troopers could be done is because people would want more of the same figure, people would only want 1 or 2 of the individual characters

theres a reason why joecon has 8 CST vipers in thier box set.

Hi guys and girls,

Heart says yes but head says no. Too much at present but the idea is sound. Looking at what people have made in the customs section alone gives a great example of what can be done on a limited bugdet / small scale.
The idea of having official updated figures is great and one that I would like to subscibe to but as many people have said previously cost is the big issue. I'm assuming this is due to licences, shipping, materials etc.

Shame really as if money was no object for us all I bet that we could achieve the cheaper price by ordering a higher volume of figures.

Just had a thaught though - what if people clubbed together to buy a set between them (say 5 people for eg) and then split the price?

maybe if you bought a pack, take what you need and sold the rest in singles you might do a little worse than break even.
like buy 10 keep 5 and re sell at 10 pounds each.

still too much for me .... at the end of the day these would be reproduction figures.

you would be paying more for a repro than you would for the original.

I would rather buy 10 original shads for £10 each

As much I would like to, after bills per paycheck, that how much i have left and i have to choose food over other matters sadly, $60-100 max i might spare for a 10 pack troopbuilder, since the Toys R Us 5 pack troop builders cost $30 i recall but $250 I'll be forced to pass like my plans to convert the GI Joe:ROC pit to a moble red shadows shadow base since the cost was not worth make the custom for.

Well two things I have to say

1. its good to see so many of your voicing your wants and NON wants LOL, even some of you that I havent seen much of or seen lately of have responded and its cool that you guys have made your voice heard

2. I already said this but I am glad to hear it because I was about to basically sign on the dotted line on this and looks like it would have been a huge money pit LOL so your saving me a ton of money and headaches

the set would have had new paints apps that would have been as detailed as the joe convention stuff and it would have had a new head, weapons, a special box and a comic and no profit was included . Basically the only way the joe club makes any money off of thiers is because they run a 4000 run of a figure ( roughly --take the CST VIPERS for instance ). I was figuring a 1000 figure run

but you guys have spoken up and again im both glad and happy to see so many of you around these parts again!
