Sweet. I've been reading all these of late too. Pity Charleys war is so expensive to get over here.

Johnny Red was great I never understood why he was flying with russians until I saw a link in the Comics section.

I just got got back to find the Titan Charley's War books I'd ordered way back. Got into them ok, but the quality of the reprint is terrible, makes you appreciate the old comics all the more. Still, getting reacquainted with the story is just like old times, incredibe work by Coloqhoun. Hope the Johnny Red reprint is better quality ...fuzzchile wrote:A must Buy! That's a pity about the Charley's War books Quickfire it's a great series. I find the Judge Dredd collections get hard to read as speech bubbles disappear into the spine several times.

Re: New Johnny Red comic on Amazon
Titan should of printed the colour pages if they couldn't do the colour seperation properly half the beauty of the front covers and centre spreads was how they were coloured ..I think that's what made the pages hard to read .. still I'm really glad these volumes exist ..first Graphic Novel I ever bought was Charleys War Book 1..I travelled up to London to buy it Denmark Street to be precise the original Forbidden Planet From looking at all the titles at the back got me heavilly into 2000ad afterwards ..seeing as Mills was the author of ABC Warriors I thought this 2000ad stuff must be good too ..guess I was 11 at the time .also Forbidden Planet .best shopping bag ever too with Brian Bolland Artwork
