Maybe it was Rocketman or something.
King Of The Rocket Men?

This is along the same lines, not quite as good, IMHO:

The Flash Gordon series I liked more was that where he was part of a team with Mandrake (and his helper Lothar) and the Phantom to fight Ming and (unfrequently) other villains.

Somebody made an hipotetical live-action opening too:

Definately, although they should do this first...

No idea why it's in Deutsch though.

But they should complete the "big three" first; we already have Transformers (or Bayformers pretending to be Transformers), GI Joe is coming, and next should be:
:cobracommander: "You were engineered with such potential, Serpentor. But you lack the most important DNA of all... mine."

DA they are re-doing He-Man it's absolutely nothing to do with the Dolph Lundgren one look at www.imdb.com for details on it.

Well, I liked the Dolph Lundgren version (excepting the cow scene and the parts where the Earthlings take the spotlight), but that was technically a movie for the original series (like Transformers: The Movie and GI Joe: The Movie) rather than an equivalent to the newer films and their alternate continuities.
