EDDIE YOU BUTCHER!!!!! I'm reporting you to the RSPCAF...... In all my years I've never seen something so deliberately cruel and I'm pretty sure that Taurus was carded in a 3 pack in the US, so he was probably reasonably rare
...... Alright, I got nuthin......

Re: OOO! MOC!
In all seriousness, if I have a MOC / MIB version I want to open, the first thing I do is come on here and offer to swap it for a complete loose one.
Re: OOO! MOC!
I'd second that Baron - as a MOC collector and loose collector there are times when I've broken out into a cold sweat seeing some of the stuff people have opened. The Baron wrote:In all seriousness, if I have a MOC / MIB version I want to open, the first thing I do is come on here and offer to swap it for a complete loose one.
Half the time I'd have traded them a loose complete and a bit of cash or some other items for the MOC item. If anyone is ever opening stuff I'd guess there are at least one or two other collectors like me out there who woudl be more than happy to do the same.

If I get a carded figure, I open it. I buy them for playing, not for showing.

Re: OOO! MOC!
Even a vintage one, DA?
Re: OOO! MOC!
That's sort of my point DA - if ever people do get a nice vintage item MOC that they intend to open I would think to offer it for trade for a day or so - you may well get the item loose and another item too for play or display - so more toys for you, and a happy MOC collector to boot! Everyone's a winner!DAMartin wrote:If I get a carded figure, I open it. I buy them for playing, not for showing.

Re: OOO! MOC!
I have a MOC Blackstar en route, will have to wait and see once I have it in my hand if I'm going to open it or not, keep changing my mind when I think about it.

Re: OOO! MOC!
Hmmm... I had not thought that...so far, the MOCs I have obtained are the newer versions (so they can still be found MOC) and those I got during my childhood (so I guess it's forgivable 'cause it was many years ago, right?). I'll try to remember this if I ever get a vintage figure MOC (though if nthing happens after some days, I wouldn't be capable of awaiting more and I'd open it anyways)SteveD wrote:That's sort of my point DA - if ever people do get a nice vintage item MOC that they intend to open I would think to offer it for trade for a day or so - you may well get the item loose and another item too for play or display - so more toys for you, and a happy MOC collector to boot!
