Hi
I've just finished reading it myself yesterday.... bought it the morning, had read it by teatime!! And I have to say I thought it was great - recent movie novels (Indiana Jones, Transformers etc have always left me thinking "Hmm not bad but I can wait for the DVD"!!) but not this - I want to see the movie NOW!. It followed on perfectly from the prequel novel (with flashbacks so even if you haven't read the prequel it'll make sense) I'm no good at reviews and don't want to give away any spoilers but I do think it blends in stuff from the various previous Gi Joe universes.... comics, cartoons etc, as well as it's own things pretty well. (some fans might complain about the technology stuff but I've always seen AF/Gi Joe as being slightly futuristic anyway and I'd rather see something new than just rehashing the stories we grew up with 20 years ago) Overall I'd give it 9/10 (knocked a point off for one too many "YO JOES!!")

Cheers
Greg

So far I am three chapters into the book it starts off in 1641 with a look at James McCullen and the origin of the Destro mask. Then it snaps into the present day sometime after the events of Above & Beyond at a NATO conference held by James McCullen on the military application of Nano-mites created by MARS. The action so far is fast paced and the book over all is a good read.

I read a summary of comic adaption #1. There's a bit of dialog between Cover Girl and :zartan: . Was it kept to the novel?

Sorry. I just read a summary, so I didn't see him. However, the toy pics depict him in a military attire, though it could be a disguise.
