I just wondered if anybody has ever come across a toy soldier or modelling site with paint guides? Ideally I would like to be able to have the sort of thing they have on the back or in the instructions of a model kit. I have found the odd pic of the back of a model soldier box (revell I think) but only very little info.
Also looking for a good uniforms of the world type site (illustrated).

I really want some sites for inspiration and reference. I found a Hungarian Military Policeman (warsaw Pact) in a book and thought it would be novel.

Imperial war museums usually sell books on different armies or try your public library or military book sections of your local stores for eg Waterstones, WH Smiths etc.

Fantastic mate. I managed to get 2 books off Amazon. They are Blandford colour series and have good illustrations. Good for what I want but really after more to help the ideas I have for customs.
