Series one German Half-Track ( updated with new windscreen )

Post by Andy1672 »

Finally kind of finished this one, as I said in the WIP thread ... this is not an accurate scale model.

I put these two pics in the other thread but I will also include them here ...

this is the basic shape of the front end, and the unattached grill .......

Image

basic chassis... this was intended to be a prototype but I spent that long on it, I decided to go ahead and finish it .....

Image

heres a close up of the "finished" grill, as can be seen its still a bit rough close up .....

Image

A simple head swap for the driver ....

Image

Rear view with luggage .....

Image

This was my original problem, I have arranged the troops how I would have liked to have had them sat in the transporter, however due to the straight legs this thing would have ended up twice as long !

Image

So this is the new seating arrangement .....

Image
Image

Still looking a bit boxey ........

Image

Primarily a troop transporter ......

Image

But possibly useful for transporting other things ?

Image

A couple of extra pics of my second windscreen .........

Cheers ironblood, I just thought some bits were a bit flat. I suppose it depends which angle you look from.

This is excellent andy! I like that youve added some bits from action force vehicles. The scale is perfect as well - youve done a great job getting the angles of the front bonnet section correct - well done!

Cheers Mark ! I did end up using the tracks from a HAVOC, Snowcat steering wheel and the single wheels from the Persuader.

I hope you won't melt your figures when they open the ark, right?
Now seriously, it looks fine. Now the :german: s have their own transport to go into battle against the :shadow: s and shout them "Give us our costumes back and stop dyeing them red!" (Ok, I couldn't stay serious, sorry, but it's still a good vehicle).

Brilliant as always Andy! I'm loving this one. Unlike Nazis. As Indy once said "Nazis...I hate these guys!" I never know what you are going to come out with next!
