I mainly wanted Time Wars for the tie-in annual story and the UK HeadMasters story

I think it was dave who mentioned an english comic?
Heres a link for the Eagle comic's version of story, better written than the cartoon & very much in the same style as that early english T/F story Man Of Iron;

I have some, but I'm awaiting to get a Bug Bite to use all them with my TFs (after all, Bug Bite is the one with most "crossover" references). I was thinking about buying TFA Patrol Bumblebee to use as bug Bite, but later I found he had many "Police" logos on him. I dislike the idea of "bad guys" as police cars.

The only thing that really irritated me as a kid about Transformers was that in the comic you had all these characters that had major roles in the storylines like Swoop, Shockwave and Blaster and could you buy them as toys in England? NO!!!!! I mean come on, at the end of the day these comics were supposed to advertise the toys, but what's the point if you're not going to release half the sodding toys of the characters that the kids are going to want in the shops? We were ROBBED in this country (UK) by Hasbro. And I still want Swoop....BAD!!!! (But I'm not going to drop £50+ for one which I think is the going rate for just a loose one?)

Some of the Wreckers were available in the US only but weren't featured as that team in the US stories that never made sense either.slight_overbomber wrote:The only thing that really irritated me as a kid about Transformers was that in the comic you had all these characters that had major roles in the storylines like Swoop, Shockwave and Blaster and could you buy them as toys in England? If my memory serves right, I think Whirl and Roadbuster weren't Takara/Hasbro moulds and so there was some legal reason why they couldn't be seen in the US stories, but then again the toy version of Jetfire wasn't a Hasbro/Takara original either and he regularly showed up (although he did look very different in the comics/cartoons).Ironblood wrote:Some of the Wreckers were available in the US only but weren't featured as that team in the US stories that never made sense either.slight_overbomber wrote:The only thing that really irritated me as a kid about Transformers was that in the comic you had all these characters that had major roles in the storylines like Swoop, Shockwave and Blaster and could you buy them as toys in England?
