It probably will look bad but do Lego still do the pirate range they used to make parrots one of them painted up metallic might be ok?
Unless Chap Mei does something better.

I would like a parrot something like Bubo from "Clash of the Titans", hopefully I can find myself a Shipwreck Parrot and customise that, otherwise I will have to explore other avenues ......

I have some lego parrots but they are a bit smaller than I would have liked.

It will take me a while to complete the pirate ship, so plenty of time to find something suitable.

Mate, I reckon it would take about 10. Action figure supplies has got 2 Patrollers at £1.60 each. Give him a go, all the dealings I have had with him have been good value and quick delivery. Also don't worry about the Parrot theres something else in the box with the ship that will do the job.
