At last - the Mobile Attack Cannon

Post by Jimbo »

Enjoying a day off, I was reading through Desert Strike for the 50th time or thereabouts, and saw this........

....and I though why not? So I dug out a Chad Valley trailer that I got with a bundle of other stuff, and satisfied a long held frustration with an old Attack Cannon which had a broken base anyway.

Enjoy!

PS - the paint isn't dry yet, it's only had one coat, the towhook doesn't quite connect properly and the Cannon isn't secured yet, but I was bored and impatient!)

PPS - thanks to Baron's site for the digital images of BAF

Nicely done Jimbo, that cannon never made any sense on those daft legs. Now at least it is functional!
There are really only two possibilities: Either there is life in the universe more intelligent than us, or we are the most intelligent form of life in the universe. Either way, it's a pretty worrying thought!

Functional? It is movable, but I wouldn't fire a shot with this baby whilst not supported by some hydraulics. One shot and this whole trailer will move half a mile. Needs some support like the SAS Missile Unit.

As a kid I didnae understand this cannon either. I merely used it as a flak unit posted next to a base in the garden. The proper word for it would have been Defense Canon.
