I was always a series one fan, my first AF custom was a French foreign legion figure based on the Action Man uniform.

I would love to do more but its difficult to try and maintain the right look with some figures.

I have abandoned loads of customs due to not being able to keep the right feel.

Any you get stuck on I might have some ideas. I like to keep the simplistic 80s approach with my customs. I stop at a certain point with AF because I think they spoilt it with things like all that toxic crap and btr.

I abandoned my RAF pilot because I couldnt find anything suitable to make a long coat out of.

I tried a few cloth type coats ( some of which looked ok ) but the result didnt look like anything Palitoy would have produced.

Likewise I really wanted to make the Mountaineer/explorer figure but again the coat was an issue.

Maybe like the capes with the old Star Wars figures we have to think that they would have used something harder wearing. I have alot of roller blinds in my house that I though looke a bit like the capes for the lego Star Wars Count Dooku, Darth Vader etc.

do they ? Im not a big dreadnok fan so ... dont know ?

I think some of the cantina aliens would be too much ! Zargon is alien enough for me.
