Hello all!
I'm a brand new member of this site. I have been reading it on and off for a year or so, but never mustered enough to join myself. Thanks for having me here!
I'm in the USA, and I'm a Gijoe collector. I focus my collection on mostly items related to the character Destro. And, I absolutely LOVE the Hyena nd Red Jackal. What incredible items! I'm sure a bunch of you probably feel the same way.
Well, I'm currently looking to purchase a boxed Hyena & Red Jackal, in the nicest condition possible. I don't know alot about the different releases of Action Force and in what countries they were released. But, I am looking for ANY boxed examples.
From what I've gathered, there probably are 3 different packaging versions of the Hyena & Red Jackal. These are:
1.) Hyena & Red Jackal: English language on box
2.) Hyena & Red Jackal: English/Italian languages on box
3.) Hyena & Red Jackal: French/Dutch languages on box
If you have any of these, please contact me. I am willing to pay very well for these items. Or if you know someone who might have one and wants to sell, please let them know too.
Thank you all for reading, and I'm happy to be here!
Cheers!
=Peter

No replies? Well, to be honest, I kinda expected this.
But, let me expound on this thread by asking: Has anybody seen a nice condition boxed Hyena & Red Jackal recently? If so, do you happen to remember the price it sold for?
More questions! Has anyone recently bought one? And lastly, who here has one already in their collections?
I'm very curious about this item and it's availability (or lack therefore of!).

Your best bet is to contact one of the sellers on this site, they would give the most honest description of their items for sale.
Failing that eBay would probably still be your best bet, just be wary when items are listed as mint.
You might strike lucky and find one on the continent for sale on ebay, the Euro is not as strong as the pound at the moment so you might end up paying less and they still sometimes have the boxes in English only text.
I bought AF5,7 boxed and sealed a few years ago from Belguim and the text is all English.
Maybe a way for you to kick start some interest, would be to offer a list of trades, most GI Joe stuff is still very hard to come by in Europe and fetches higher prices than in the states and Canada.
If it helps, I had a loose Hyena a few years ago but sold it on, I don't remember it selling for more than about ?6. Ive seen Jackals turn up in a few loose lots on ebay. But as with most things mint boxed is always much harder to find.
Failing all this, this place is sometimes quite good and maybe worth contacting

they don't have a massive range but if you contact them they (at a premium) may be able to source one for you. They have some boxed stuff up at the moment, a shadowtrack and red vuture boxed is up for ?25 which does not seem too bad.
keep a look out here as well, some posters keep an eye out for rare things on ebay and put up links here to the auctions for other users

Plastik, The Baron, and Jonesy...thank you for the replies and for welcoming me!
From a small bit of previous research, I predicted that a boxed Hyena & Red Jackal might be difficult to track down. Both the Hyena and Red Jackal are such terrific examples of items that would appeal to both Action Force and GIjoe collector's alike. I can only assume that this "crossover" attractiveness, leads this item to be particularly difficult to find boxed.
I appreciate the advice in contacing modelersloft, plastik. I have contacted them in the past, and have received good suggestions. They seem to have a good business.
Jonesy, you lucky devil! You had three boxed Hyenas...excellent. Would you be so kind as to post some pictures of the Cobra boxed version? I have never heard of or seen this version. I'd love to see it!
Again, thank you for hte responses. It's great to be hear. And please keep me in mind, if you ever happen to come across a boxed Hyena & Red Jackal for sale!

Hey, just thought I'd revisit this old Wanted thread!
I'm still looking to purchase a MISB Hyena & Red Jackal. If anyone happens to have one they'd like to sell, or if you know of one for sale...please let me know.
Thanks for reading and for your replies!

With regards to the price of a boxed heyna,
I brought one from a collectors fair at the start of the year for ?35.00,however a few months later at the same collector fair a different dealer was selling the same item for ?195.00.
Hope this helps with an idea of price.
Maybe your best bet is to try ebay as loose ones turn up fairly often.
The red jackel figure seems to sell for around ?20.00 loose and the heyna i would say generally goes for ?15-20.00".
But it's your choice boxed and complete or loose and play worn.
This is just what i have noted.
so good luck and good hunting, as this is a fantastic item.
