*&@$!!
Re: *&@$!!
depends on the buyer. i mean this MISB one started at 99p the bidding was at £1.54 or something when i first bid and i outbid that to £5.54 so, that first bidder top bid about £5!

Re: *&@$!!
checking the bid history it was bidder 5 got you and he only upped his bid when you dropped £20.
seriously, have a maximum in mind and go in on the last 15 seconds. you might not win but when you do you may save yourself a couple of quid.
i used to get into bidding wars with people(this was when you could see bidders id) and spent stupid amounts of money on things that the next week went for a fraction of what i paid. have patience. you also get a great feeling when you win an item in the last couple of seconds knowing that the other bidder thinks hes won-insert super-villan style laughter.

had you waited until tomorrow and bid in the last few seconds you may well have won it for £25.
the Baron did a guide to sniping somewhere you should check out.

nah mate i've been sniping for years after getting my fingers burnt on a batman animated alfred figure.
cant remember what i paid but i had to win him. the sale was in the states and the postage was pretty high too.
i won him but had pushed the price way up.
the next week 1 went on ebayuk for £4 with only 1 bidder. i had a sick taste in my mouth for days and learned an expensive lesson.

Re: *&@$!!
just watch the item in future and set a reminder when the auction ends and bid at the last minute,
i never bid my maximum untill the end of the auction as there is allways another predator lurking to go for the kill on the item you want...
