Re: Enemy logo
Having a ridge of bone along the midline of your skull is a more simian characteristic ?

Re: Enemy logo
The left sided one is pretty accurate to the RS logo - the eyes are relatively larger, the ridge. The 'corners' of the human skull (where the side joins the top) is where the masseter muscles stop (in us) but extend further in more primal animals, like the earlier primate.Andy1672 wrote:Having a ridge of bone along the midline of your skull is a more simian characteristic ?

Re: Enemy logo
it could be that of a primate, not to get too deep, but maybe its to signify some of the basic animal instincts that the human still have, having a primate skull could be evidence of ironblood's vision of a more predatory army who have only the limited desires to hunt and kill,

It's something I've had kicking around my brain for quarter of a century! Yesterday it forced it's way out!Ross SC wrote:i cant believe this site has been up for so long & this is only just coming up!?
Could it be a piranha skull? They have the ridge and needle teeth.

Re: Enemy logo
This one has me stumped. I thought for a moment it might have been taken from a sign denoting "deadly to all life" or similar, with an appropriately non-human skull.
But for me the logo is based on the pirate skull and crossbones, reflecting the dash-and-grab illegitimacy of Ironblood's Shadows. The non-human skull might just be for trademarking purposes (but I hope there's a more interesting reason than that).
What muddies the waters slightly is the Roboskull. I thought that it was meant to be based on the enemy logo, and to me that looks to be modelled more on a human skull.
A drawing of Ironblood in the promotional material (one of the displays) has a very human skull drawn on the front of his tunic, suggesting that the artist wasn't aware of any significance.

I'm sure the truth of it is that the design chosen was simply the coolest.
