fan-fic: opinions sought

Post by Sundance »

okay, I'm thinking of using the 'escape armour' in AF3 which i recently wrote the outline for.

the thing is, it's not going to be used as 'escape armour', more like 'killing, mudering, causing carnage' armour.

so, what do you think it should be called?

Battle Armour?

Assault armour?

Tactical Armour?

Power Armour?

or some thing else? Red Can? Iron Shadow? Red Tin? Red Iron?

Assault armour for sure. I have yet to read your works Sundance (time owing) I should print them off and read over the weekend, have you the links for them? Have they been added to the Barons Archive?

Well we could do it using existing comic art, I don't mind doing the cutting and pasting.

yeah, but my Shadowtrak's got a different configuration to the original. my Hyena's completely different. so's my Hawk. and how would we do an F/A-24 or a Bobcat? or the Sea Snake in 2?

Maybe you need to compromise your stories a little. When I do the Dr Who dioramas I have to occasionally change something to ensure that the pictures can be acheived. Also there's an element that people want to read about the Hawk and Shadowtrak they know...

But if you do want to use other stuff, like the Bobcat, then get phtotshop elements and use the poster edges filter (or similar) to create a more drawn look. The Roboskull and Big Ben in 'Born In Blood' are both the real thing processed using that filter.

I can apply the filter myself to any pics you email me, by the way, if that helps.
