Star Bird 70ies toys

Post by Lady Jaye »

Anybody of the old geezers acquainted with Star Bird? I am able to obtain a 1977 Avenger, compete with box. What price would be appropriate?

Before my time I'm afraid - I was only introduced to this world in 77! Good items though - I want a Star Bird Intruder!

I was introduced in 1971, but I cannot recall the toy, but I am sure I would have wanted it back then!

By the way: did you check your PM?

The Space Fighter looks like a cross between an X Wing and the BSG fighter ships.

Spot on! There's more! The Avenger's front resembles an A-Wing and I see some sort of R2D2 in the back.

The more I look the more I see - the Intruder looks a lot like a Cylon craft with wings on to me, and the shape of the Avenger (skinny in the middle, fat at both ends) is certainly looking like the Gallactica itself I think? Or am I getting Gallactica mother ship mixed up with Space 1999?

Certainly a good bit of plagiarism going on though - I love it, and now want some myself.

My sincere apologies for making you greedy! :D

FYI: manufactured by Milton Bradley. I read the Avenger should not be all too difficult to obtain.
