Transformers?

Post by Sundance »

anyone else a fan of Hasbro's mighty mechanoids?

I was mad on G1, read the comic, had a duvet&pillow set, load of toys... then when G2 and the Beast era was about, didn't like it. Bought a load of Robots In Disguise stuff (inc. importing Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus from America :D) but since then all I've bought is the Camaro Concept Bumblebee and Optimus from the movie line.

I love the movie and 2 is one of my top 4 films to see this summer with Wolverine, GI Joe and Terminator Salvation.

opinions?

Got to say, I love them too. Got the full series on DVD but just not had time to watch yet. Soundwave with Ravage is my only surviving one left from my childhood days, but he's standing proud on the shelf next to Battle of teh Planets figures.

I plan on buying a complete G1 Optimus when I spot a really good condition one, as he da man!

Transformers were a little after my time. Never got into Bike mice from Mars, Masters of the universe or The Ninja Turtles either. My son likes the Transformers and has about a dozen. Some big ones too, Like King Atlas and Optimus. A friend had a heap of them and I used to play, but no substitute for AF ;) I did like the original Optimus tho, that was massive.

I like them, dont go overboard on them like My Joes and Comic characters. Beast Wars was awesome though, you should really watch it if youre a G1 fan.

I never got into the toys, but have all the comics as a result of the Ancient Relics crossover.

i LOVED Transformers as a kid, i was in on the ground-floor when G1 took off. One of my biggest mistakes during my online-life was getting involved with Transformers "fan" sites... what a bunch of ****ing Nazis. If you don't see everything the exact same way as they do and love the characters they love, you get bombarded with hate-mail.

Love Transformers from afar...! The only website you need is bloodforthebaron.com !

Shadow Contact - keep meaning to ask - what is that in your signature with SpiderWoman all green faced? Is that from a recent story? I get the UK Collectors Editions, but dont remember seeing that yet!

Sorry - totally off topic, I know!
