WHO WATCHES THE WATCHMEN?

Post by Ross SC »

ME, & IT WAS F#@KING AWESOME!
finally, a comic book adaption that works! i was going to write a review, but just watch it!
stay VERY true to the book, apart from the one thing i hated!
pretty much all the characters are well cast, especially Rorschach.
expect a custom soon.......

the first season of heroes is great then it went a bit daft although i've enjoyed the last couple of episodes and hope its back on track.
gotta say i enjoyed ultimates but thought it was over-rated and i have problems with Millar.
while i enjoy his comics and am a member of millarworld he wrote in his SFX column about masturbating over his wonder woman comics which is a bit sad.
wolverine old man logan has been great so far and i really hope he pulls it off (the comic, not his winkie)

Just got back from my second viewing of it. Great Movie from and Amazing story. The Fights scenes were awesome and whoever played the Comedian was absolutely perfect Casting.

Theres been a lot of negative reviews but most are from people who just dont get it. They expect a Batman movie which Watchmen certainly is not. If you have to have a clearly defined good and bad then this story isnt going to be for you. Plus as one critic has said by being a Comic movie it has a stigma that it has no right. Switch superheroes with CIA and this would probably get nothing but raves.

Just gotta say this right now - anyone posting spoilers here will be hunted down and eviscerated.

Even though I've read it.

I saw it last friday. Never read the comic so I had no idea what to expect. It was way intense, some of it was really f--king awesome and some of it was long. There were parts that I felt like would have made more sense if I'd read the comic book but overall it was really accessible for the general movie-going public IMO. The ass kicking and fights in the movie were fantastic, the costumes were totally belivable I thought (there's people in the real world that wear clothing from the mall that's just as ridiculous, minus the masks), and there were only a couple things in the movie that seemed like shock for sake of shock valus and even those might not have been like that intentionally. Rorshach was absolutely the highlight of the film though. God, I'd like to see him get a spin off of his own like Wolverine's gotten, he deserves it IMO.

watchmen is so good, it needs to be left alone! Alan Moore would never do any spin off's& no one else should be allowed to touch it.
