Re: MARVEL MOVIE NEWS for those who care:
are 3 TERRIBLE spidey movies not enough?!
im sorry, but EVERY character is miscast, ive grown up loving spidey (ok, that sounds bad!) & this just isnt him.
the only person who is good in these movies is bruce campbell.
i really, REALLY hope they dont f*ck up the cap.

the guy directing the cap movie is Joe Johnson who directed the Rocketeer back in 1991. if it's as good as that, it'll be brilliant

have to agree, was a good movie & had all the potential to be a stinker!Sundance wrote:the guy directing the cap movie is Joe Johnson who directed the Rocketeer back in 1991. if it's as good as that, it'll be brilliant

Brought me back to earth with a bump too - I went to see THE ROCKETEER at the cinema and loved that film (Jennifer Conelly looked so damn fine too!). It really deserves more recognition.Ross SC wrote:wow, was that really 1991?! im gettin old!
Didn't like any SPIDER-MAN films, so don't care about #4
Thought IRON MAN was good (but a tad overated in my view), so expect an enjoyable sequal
THOR... Going to be hard to make that work on screen.
Really looking forward to CAPTAIN AMERICA the most though. If it's an 'origin' story then we're going to get some very cool scenes indeed! Hope the RED SKULL is there too.

Re: MARVEL MOVIE NEWS for those who care:
I have to also sound in that all the other Spiderman movies were garbage so another one is just going to be more of the same. For a year after the disasterous last one the "rumors" were that the 4th Spidey movie would actually be a new start, with a new director and cast... and that hope was dashed comeply last year.
at least were safe from Kirstin Dunst' ugly snagletooth face and whining speeches from all-but-ruining #4 anyway... now at least dancing-in-the-street McGuire will be able to prove on his own he's the worst thing about the Spirdermovies.
I'd love to see a Thor movie that's done well but that character is SO larger than life and epic that it's gonna be hard to get him right I think....

'tis true. ye director hath spoken to Brian Michael Bendis and Joe Quesada and yon comics writers sayeth Kenneth doth 'get it'. ye hopes are high.
