If the 2009 con exclusives are a RED SHADOW themed set......
Re: If the 2009 con exclusives are a RED SHADOW themed set......
On the sign-up form, there is a the choice for which size your interested in, 3.75 or action man size, then they'll send you whichever one you sign-up for

Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Crom... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you! -Conan the Cimmerian

Make sure it didn't default to the 12" figure by going to the Account Update page and selecting the 3.75" figure at the bottom: http://www.gijoeclub.com/club/index.cfm?do=memberupdate.Rude Kid wrote:On the sign-up form, there is a the choice for which size your interested in, 3.75 or action man size, then they'll send you whichever one you sign-up for

Well, the hints dropped have been enough to get me to take out a membership. Worth the approx £60 with the current lousy exchange rate.
The big question is which free figure to go for:-

I originally thought that it was a black outfitted Cobra Commander that was the 3 3/4 inch one, so was definitely having that, but it now seems I was mistaken and it is looking like a Diver, which doesn't do as much for me as the excellent Action Man tribute. Now he'd look nice on my shelf.... Decisions decisions.

Oh, and Jamar - I put as my favourite GI Joe character "Red Shadows" and in the more info box "I joined as I suspect that the Red Shadows will be the convention pack - a Red Shadows resurrection is long overdue!"

£60 is still a hell of a lot of money.
what else do you get other than the "free" figure?

Monthly magazine, and discounts on the costs of items it seems.
I feel it's worth it on this occasion, if it is to be Red Shadows pack, as will get the money back on the savings, as I'd want a good few of the Convention packs, making the free figure truly "free". If it's not a Red Shadows pack, however, I may struggle to get my £60's worth out of it.

Im officially waiting until its official though to join, but when I do im going to call and them and make sure nothing is wrong with my registration with the free figuure or the registration part.
the money that cost you to join is almost what the discount is on the convention packs, combine that with the free figure and you got it as the same cost as not joining.
Plus thier is going to be a comic too so join up and make yourself heard RED SHADOW FANS

Steve, step away from the 40th Joes.... step away man....
Jamar I just had a quick look at freight from the collectors club. With freight a single figure was $70au landed. I'd really doubt I'd be able to afford any figure should it be released, especially if it needed officer level. My scepticism is increasing.

Wish someone had said that to me about 40th AM
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?
